INITIAL MEETING
If a comprehensive landscape design services are desired, then the usual process includes an initial meeting where design parameters such as the following are discussed:
THE PROPOSAL/BRIEF
The proposal is a synopsis of the initial meeting, notes from additional onsite visits and landscape suggestions. At this time, we will review the proposal together in detail, answer any questions and discuss additional ideas.
THE RETAINER
At this point, to proceed with designs, a retainer is requested.
SURVEY AND INITIAL SKETCHES
The survey is about measuring the site but also the process of really getting to know the property. Time is taken to review the existing plant material, architecture and hardscape. Extensive photos and notes are taken to help in the editing and creative process. An initial ‘Look Book’ of proposed plants, conceptional sketches and cost estimate are discussed with the client. It’s also useful at this stage to discuss practical considerations such as potential cost differences and preliminary schedule.
HAND DRAWN VISUALIZATION
A detailed scale Planting Plan will be drawn up once the concept sketch is approved. We move forward with an approved estimate and signed contract.
BUILD AND INSTALLATION
The team works closely together to ensure the process is both smooth and seamless.
